This sample illustrates our lesson format, teaching methodology, and instructional style. A typical lesson presents an overview and discussion of the week's topic which is then applied to example horoscopes. Each weekly-issued lesson is 5000 to 7000 words in length and is comprised of text, diagrams, and example charts.
Everybody knows their Sun sign. Ask anyone, and they will say I'm this sign or that sign. This frequently asked question is the start of the most common and serious misunderstanding people have about Astrology. People believe that they identify most intimately with their Sun sign. While the Sun sign does play a part in a person's life, the most important part of the chart is not the Sun sign, but something called the Ascendant.
The Ascendant represents the constitution of the physical body and its predisposition to health or the contrary. Moreover, a person's behavior pattern is primarily and most correctly characterized by the sign on their Ascendant. When it comes to interpretation, the Ascendant is the primary factor and key to understanding the person. If it is not taken as the first consideration, everything else that is present in the chart with regard to the person will be taken out of context. The result will be erroneous conclusions about the individual and their life.
Other important factors contribute to the character of a human being, as for example the Moon sign and the Sun sign, but it is the Ascendant that is the fundamental.
This lesson delves deeply into the nature of the Ascendant and the factors that constitute it. By way of an introduction to elementary interpretation, we demonstrate our comments by analyzing a sample horoscope, the horoscope of an unfortunate person.
