ASTROLOGY ORGANIZATIONS

  • The Arizona Society of Astrologers (ASA)
    is the oldest and one of the largest state wide astrology organizations. It was founded on September 7, 1973 to promote astrology through teaching, lecturing, research and practice in a professional and ethical manner. The ASA has proudly hosted well-known and inspiring teachers and lecturers from around the world at regular monthly meetings.

  • The Astrological Association of Great Britian
    The AA currently has about 1,600 members, 1,000 in the UK and the rest around the world. Among the more interesting research journals it publishes is the Medical Astrology Newsletter, the only journal in the world devoted to medical astrology. The AA also organises occasional seminars on all aspects of astrology

  • American Federation of Astrologers (AFA)
    A worldwide organization of more than 3,500 professional astrologers and astrological laypersons representing all 50 states and 56 countries around the globe. Established in 1938, the AFA oversees accreditation of astrologers, sponsors scientific astrology research, and publishes more astrological books than anyone else in the United States. They will guide you to accredited astrologers and, if you wish to delve into the subject further, they can be your source of the finest education (including their award-winning astrology correspondence course).

  • Association for Astrological Networking (AFAN)
    AFAN is a network linking and informing the international astrological community. AFAN always let's you know what is happening to and for astrologers. AFAN's unique non-hierarchical structure links the local astrologer to the steering committee through regional coordinators and is the foundation of the Network.

  • The Astrological Society of Connecticut (ASC)
    The Astrological Society of Connecticut -- founded on October 17, 1972 in Hartford, Connecticut -- is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating people interested in astrology. Since its inception, the ASC has grown to become one of the largest and most active local astrological organizations in the United States. They sponsor monthly lectures from September through May at the Keeney Cultural Center in Wethersfield, Connecticut. Lectures are held on the third Thursday of the month (except for the second Thursday in December). Their speakers frequently offer workshops on the Saturday following their Thursday night lecture.

  • THE INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR ASTROLOGICAL RESEARCH (ISAR)
    ISAR is an international organization of professional astrologers dedicated to encouraging the highest standards of quality in the field of astrology. Joining ISAR puts one in the company of the premier astrologers throughout the world who are on the cutting edge of professional astrology as it enters the 21st century. ISAR has a first-class quarterly journal for its members known as The International Astrologer. Each 60-80 page issue is packed with articles and news items on the current developments in the field of astrology.

  • National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR)
    NCGR is an astrological organization dedicated to education and research. In 1971, a group of Astrologers, Doctors, and Researchers gathered in Massachusetts and founded the National Council for Geocosmic Research, Inc. Consisting of more than 40 chapters worldwide, NCGR has over 3000 members in 26 countries on 6 continents. NCGR sponsors a four level certification program designed to provide a thorough education in astrology, which includes classes, and tests administered, both at the chapter level and at national conferences.

  • Astrology with Meira - Meira is a practicing astrologer, living in New York City. Her work encompasses private consultation, teaching, lecturing and writing - all of which take place both in the US and overseas. She is a teacher on the Faculty of New York chapter of the NCGR (National Council for Geo-cosmic Research), and a lecturer in its conferences. Her main focus is on the revival of the ancient techniques, integrating them into the modern practice.   • CONSIDERATIONS
    Considerations is an independent magazine, unrelated to any astrological group or organization. The articles they publish are written by some of the world's better astrologers. They're truly international. They consider all facets of astrology, both ancient and modern. Begun in 1983, Considerations is published four times a year. There are no advertisements.

  • The Mountain Astrologer
    Widely acknowledged as the best English-language astrology magazine in the world today. They are known for lively, well-written articles on a wide variety of astrological topics, Astrology book reviews, Data, a comprehensive forecast section, a daily calendar outlining each day's aspects and the global astrological climate, and other features. About 10% of the magazine is available online.

  • ASCELLA PUBLICATIONS SELECTED BOOKLIST
    The Ascella list is a compilation of titles, ancient and modern, that are particularly relevant to the history, development and traditional practise of astrology. Some of the books are popular, some are obscure; many are not available elsewhere. If you have a specialist book that you would like us to reproduce for the benefit of other astrologers, or if you are trying to track down a title that is currently out of print and unavailable elsewhere, we may be able to help.     National Clearinghouse for Astrology Books. A good source for new and used titles on Astrology and related topics. I've purchased many titles long out of print from this outfit. Their motto: "Better books make better Astrologers."

  • Ballantrae Reprints
    Ballantrae Reprint began producing older texts in 1987 when some astrology students wanted copies of Henry Coley's Key To The Whole Art Of Astrology, a book that had been out of print for about three hundred years. One thing led to another, and Ballantrae Reprint now offers more than 600 titles that may be said to deal with Ancient Wisdom in one form or another - astrology, numbers, Bible interpretation, The Tarot, symbolism, etc.

  • Astrolabe - Astrology Software and Services
    Creators of SOLAR FIRE version 5, this new release is among the best products for professional astrologers. This program for Windows was first produced in 1992 by Esoteric Technologies and has arguably become one of the most popular PC-based astrology programs because of its ease of working with astrological charts. The current version adds many more calculations, extra convenience features, more interpretive text, and exciting new kinds of graphic displays.

  • Astro Numeric Service
    Astro Numeric Service started in 1966 as a computer service to astrologers for chart calculations. They "currently offer most of the top automated readings available." Their readings are printed on quality paper and bound in attractive covers to last a lifetime. "Astro Numeric Service also promotes Astro*Carto*Graphy (relocational astrology), a very useful approach developed by Jim Lewis, who popularized a new "do-it-yourself" style of astrology.     This is a useful site. Input a STREET ADDRESS in a cirty or town in the United States and get back the exact latitude and longitude of that address. Eagle will provide optionally a map to go with it.

  • United States Gazetteer
    Here's another similar and very handy site. Search for a Place in the Unites States by place name, place name and state, or just by 5-DIGIT ZIP CODE. This gazetteer is used to identify places to view with the Tiger Map Server and obtain census data from the 1990 Census Lookup server.

  • Zodiac e-Greeting Cards
    This site has an charming selection of e-greeting cards for all the zodiacal signs. There is also an extensive collection of cards for the usual secular occasions as well as for holidays in all the major religions.
