Quarter 8 - Lesson 5: On the Potency and Efficaciousness of Concurrent Causes to Precipitate Events
Using Charlie Rose's 1976 and 1980 Solar Revolutions and the Primary Directions in force during those Returns, Lesson 5 dwells on an extensive discussion of Morin's concept of "concurrent causes". We examine how these coincidence of causes lead to professional advancement in 1976 and to his divorce in 1980.
Zoltan Mason taught that 80 percent of prediction depends on having a feeling for the natal chart. Such an understanding reveals the range of possible events for a person's lifetime and makes us appreciate that the only function of the different timing techniques is to actuate whatever potential is present in the natal.
"Concurrency" means that a planetary configuration comprised of "receiver" and a "sender" of influence in the natal chart is revived or actuated under a Primary Direction, Revolution, and/or Transit. The likelihood of the event happening increases with the more ways we can repeat a natal configuration during a particular window of time while its potency will depend on the strength or debility of the Significator and the Promittor. These latter technical expressions used by the different forecasting techniques are synonymous with the expressions "receiver" and a "sender" in the natal.
