Quarter 7 - Lesson 11: Factors determining certitude and intensity of effects - Part 2
The lesson begins with a demonstration on how to read the Primary Directions from printouts generated for each student with the Placidus primary direction program. We use the printouts and corresponding charts from three of the students in the class to illustrate their use.
The lesson then proceeds to consider the case when when many planets are in the same house, and consequently determined to the same kind of signification, so that we see that each promittor produces its own effect individually and in accordance with its own nature.
The horoscope of Bill Clinton is used to demonstrate how the planets acting as significators and promittors in his first and eleventh houses reveal the steady advancement of his political career when applying the basic considrations below for determining the effect of of each direction.
Morin mentions that for every direction, we must speculate minimally on the Kind, the Type, the Quality, the Quantity and the Time of the effect.
So consider the following for determining the effect: 1. The Kind is taken from the property of the house that the significator occupies, 2. The Type and The Quality from the nature and state of the promittor 3. The Quantity from The Strength or Debility of the promittor and the significator 4. The Time from the distance between both termini, i.e Signifcator and Promittor
