Quarter 6 - Lesson 5:
Towards a disciplined approach to delineating Returns - Part 2

Lesson 5 covers how the natal chart conditions the solar chart. This second step in our examination provides a way to confirm and or mitigate what we learned when we considered the impact of the solar's (or lunar's) impact on the natal chart. This second step considers how the natal influences and conditions the solar houses and planets. We continue to use the example charts of Kyran Kennedy, the American war casualty killed while piloting a Black Hawk helicopter near Tikrit, Iraq.

Our approach to a proper evaluation of a return stresses the value of the 3-step examination beginning with the study of the natal, then the return chart, and finally bringing the two together.

Our last step, bringing the two charts together itself is a three part process. The first part examines the influences of the Revolution chart on the Natal, that is, we see what Revolution planets are connected to the Natal Houses and Natal Planets.

We will draw our considerations from Chapter 18 of James Holden's translation of Morin's Book 23, Revolutions. We illustrate points the second part of our examination using considerations number 7, 9, and 10 on the Solar and Lunar Revolutions of Kyran Kennedy.
