Quarter 6 - Lesson 4:
Towards a disciplined approach to delineating Returns - Part 1

We continue to stress the value of using a structured approach for interpreting a Solar or Lunar Return using the natal and solar charts of Kyran Kennedy, an American war casualty killed while piloting a Black Hawk helicopter near Tikrit, Iraq.

We stress value of the 3-step examination beginning with the study of the natal, then the return chart, and finally bringing the two together.

When we bring the natal and solar charts together, the first part of this three step procedure is to observe how the Return chart conditions the Natal chart. The Return chart acts as a filter that either permits or prevents what already exists in potential in the natal. We consider what Return Planets are connected to the Natal Houses and Natal Planets. Our considerations are drawn from Chapter 18 of James Holden's translation of Morin's Book 23, Revolutions. We illustrate points number 8, 13, 14, 15, and 16 on the Solar and Lunar Revolutions of Kyran Kennedy.

The next lesson will focus on parts two and three of step three of the examination, that is, we then go on to compare the Natal influences on the Revolution chart and finally observe from where the Natal planets come in the Natal to where they go in the Revolution chart.
