Quarter 6 - Lesson 2: Understanding the natal chart as a basis for effective forecasting
The late Zoltan Mason emphasized that 80% of forecasting depends on a good
understanding of the person's motivations. And just as we go through the natal
in a very systematic and structured fashion, so we continue this approach with
a three step procedure when examining a solar/lunar return.
To repeat, step one is a through examination of the natal chart, and once done,
put aside. Our next step in to analyze the solar/lunar return in the same fashion.
And lastly, we bring the two charts together, knowing that repetitions of influences
in the solar of what already exists in the natal revives and precipitates events for
the year for the person.
Our introductory case study to this structured approach to revolutions is that of
Enzo Baldoni. Using the chart of this freelance reporter who died in Tikrit, Iraq
a few days after having been kidnapped, we illustrate the first of three steps
when bringing the natal chart together with the solar return. Our task is to
apply those considerations from Morin's summary of rules in Book 23 and observe
how the solar planets impact the natal houses and planets.
