Quarter 5 - Lesson 10: Consolidating Skills: Chart Comparison
Our structured approach to the study Transits focuses on the most common relationships that can exist between a transiting planet and a transited place. This study of transits is preceded with an introduction to the basic considerations for chart comparison. The process always begins by looking at where the Ascendant and Midheaven of one person falls into the chart of the other person.
We illustrate this systematic procedure by looking at the horoscopes of two married couples. One couple has an enduring 35 year deep relationship, the other a twenty year relationship that has fallen apart with the discovery of one of the partners having a long standing infidelity and full blown well developed secret life not known by the other partner.
Our content is drawn from Chapter 13 of Morin's Book 21 where he develops the basic rules for chart comparison based on the 47th of Ptolemy's Centiloquium.
We begin as usual; after examining each chart separately, we then compare the chart of one with the chart of the other through a series of steps that consider factors like what constitutes attraction and durability. We go on to look at the Transits from the Solar Returns during the year that each married the other.
