Quarter 2 - Lesson 6: On Houses vis-a-vis The Archetype
This lesson explains how to use the Archetype as a guide to assist us in delineating a chart. It truly is no exaggeration to say that this is one of the most useful tools to employ to assist us as it allows us to fall back on our own life experience when examining a chart rather than turn to written explanations found in books.
We know that only one in 12 people is born with Aries rising, and this shows us that all of us are born differentiated. When we say that Aries is an ideal, the basic idea when employing the Archetype as a guide is to appreciate that a cardinal sign should be associated with an angular house, a fixed sign with a succedent house, a mutable sign found on a cadent house.
For example, if we take Aries as the ideal for the 1st House, it means that a male, cardinal, fire sign represents an ideal temperament and character for a human being; similarly, following this pattern, the ideal sign for an approach to a career is Capricorn, a female, cardinal, earth sign. Practically speaking, why is this so?
What are the consequences when this IDEAL sequence is not found? This is the thrust of our lesson. And how do we fall back on our own life experience to appreciate the consequences when this ideal sequence is not followed?
It must be remembered that every horoscope is acceptable if a person can make use of the resources given as seen in their chart. All the myriad social, emotional, economic, and spiritual problems arise for a person when society declares that we cannot use what has been bestowed upon you.
