Lectures:

  • On Solar Returns conform J-B. Morin and his Book 23 of the Astrologia Gallica
Our talk on the genethliacal revolutions (or more commonly called today, the solar returns) unfolds the force, depth, and utility of this traditional forecasting technique. We discuss first how the particular times of events are first and primarily caused by the so-called primary directions formed by the primary motion of the natal chart.

We show through examples how primary directions that are in agreement with the natal chart can do nothing without a corresponding solar return. It is the solar return that acts (through similarity of configuration with the natal chart) as a cooperating or concordant cause that reduces the potential of natal chart and its corresponding primary directions to an actual event.

The force of both the natal and its directions is only a potential, and for this potential to be reduced to an actual event, there must be a cooperating efficient cause, and that cause is the similarity of the revolution's configuration with the natal chart.

We draw examples from the rise and fall of some of the great names in history and modern times to demonstrate the principles of solar revolutions.
