  1. The sign and degree on the first house cusp is called the ascendant. It is the most delicate and individual part of the horoscope.

  2. The Ascendant is eighty (80) percent of the horoscope. It is studied to find the general temperament of the native.

  3. The Ascendant is the physiological and psychological organization of the personality. The Ascendant is the expression of the Moon.

  4. While character is judged from the whole chart, the Ascendant and its considerations play an overwhelming part.

  5. Connect the house with the sign number rising. Sign number and house number both cooperate lifelong. For example, if the person has Cancer Rising, look automatically to the 4th House which is analogous to the sign of Cancer.

  6. Each planet connected to the Ascendant contributes to the formation of the personality.

  7. A planet in the Ascendant's triplicity overrides the power of the ruler if its not in triplicity.
