ASTROLOGICAL APHORISMS
Week of: September 7, 2001

  1. The ruler of the sign on the cusp of a house is the ruler of the house in question. The house ruler is the first and most important consideration of house affairs.

  2. The strength and quality of the motivation of house affairs is shown by the ruler's position and zodiacal state.

  3. When the ruler of one house is in another, the sign on the house in question comes first, then the planet and finally its relation to the house ruler.

  4. Always ask yourself how does the house receive the planetary influence. A planet in a house either helps or destroys the house affairs and the ruler of the house conform its own nature and zodiacal state.

  5. The four possible relationships that exist between a planet in a house and the house and its ruler are: guest helps, guest destroys, ruler helps, or ruler destroys.

  6. Always measure the planetary influences by the four considerations of position, rulership, aspect, or ricochet, yet keep in mind that the strongest influence is shown by the house ruler as the sign is more important.

  7. Always analyze a house as if the planet in a house is the only one and then look for the interplay of the planetary influence by the four considerations.
