ASTROLOGICAL APHORISMS
Week of: August 17, 2001

  1. Your own horoscope projects your own reality. Reality is how things appear to your senses. The houses show how you experience the various areas of existence.

  2. The Earth (Houses) is the receiver the Sky (Zodiac). The receiver is more important than the sky as you can change how you receive an influence. Therefore, always look first to the houses.

  3. The houses show the quantity of planetary influence by reception. The impact of the planets is greatest when in angular houses (1st, 10th, 7th, & 4th) and weakest when they are found in the cadent houses (3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th) least. The impact is intermediate when planets are in succedent houses (2nd, 5th, 8th, 11th).

  4. There are actually only four houses, the Angles (1st, 10th, 7th, 4th, & 4th). All the other houses are secondary and serve to unite the affairs of the angular houses.

  5. The potentiality of a house is directly connected with its size. Whether the affairs are realized or not depends on other factors.

  6. The houses are axial. The affairs of a house are reflected in the opposite. The 6th house which is connected with sickness is reflected in the 12th which we connect with hospitalizations.

  7. Ricochet is a technical term which means that whatever happens in one house is reflected in the opposite house. The two house along the same axis cooperate.
