Quarter 2 - Lesson 12
Lesson 12 concludes the Second Quarter of our program. It ties together the fundamentals of astrology learned to date. The breadth of the Quarter's content is freely applied to the ongoing analysis of the chart of Bill Cosby. The lesson's intent is to get you to use your imagination and not limit your thinking. The lesson demonstrates how we can freely and creatively apply the content from different lessons to understand his Midheaven. The extensive detail employed should not overly concern you as most of the material will be applied again and again over the next two Quarters.
We interpret his Midheaven from the viewpoints of his profession and his relationship with his mother. In addition, we analyze the character of the mother and her work ethic from his natal chart by making use of house derivations. This extended analysis of his Midheaven is prefaced with a general overview of the 12th House. These remarks are applied to his Saturn in his 12th house and its influence on Venus, the Ruler of his Ascendant which is found in the 1st House. We finish the lesson with a discussion on the tremendous importance of Mars on Jupiter, Saturn, and his Midheaven.
Our Mantra - Practice and broaden your experience daily
You may have already made the observation that you react and have a feeling for some horoscopes more than for others. You see a chart and respond to it even without training while you look to another and it evokes no reaction at all. You stare at it blankly and it makes no sense.
The reason lies in your own life experience with the world. Without being aware of it, during your entire life, you have come into contact regularly with only a select group of signs and when you think about them, they have meaning as their behavior makes sense. On the other hand, you don't react to other signs as you have very rarely come into contact with those. This is the normal usual experience for every person and the reason for this is based on the configuration of your own natal chart.
There is no magic or shortcut to surmount this natural obstacle. Broader exposure to a greater variety of people and continual practice are the practical solution to this issue. As the old astrologer's adage goes, "Life is short, art is long, experience difficult to obtain, and judgment highly difficult".
Only practice and experience will take astrology from being an intellectual activity to one based on instinct. Practice and broader experience - This is and will continue to be our "mantra" to you.
Congratulations on completing your Second Quarter.
Sincerely,
Robert M. Corre
